Wildlife Art Expedition and Bursary Opportunity

MAAP alumni Chris Wallbank will shortly be departing on his latest expedition, sponsored by the SWLA (Society of Wildlife Artists) Bursary scheme. Chris will be travelling across the Bay of Biscay by ferry and into the Picos De Europa National Park ( N. Over this month he is hoping to observe and document a whole range of ecosystems, supporting wildlife from deep diving whales to high altitude dwelling species like the Chamois and Wallcreeper. Find out exactly what he discovers by following the expedition’s online log and sketch book at www.picoslog.blogspot.com

COMPETITION NUMERO UNO!

So, we'd really like for this blog to start looking good and it seems that the first step is to get a good banner across the top with the blog title and what-not. It's open to everyone on the course so have a crack and see if you can come up with something. Entries should be emailed to either Laura or Vicky (Clark) by the end of the month and will be judged by an esteemed panel of highly talented and discerning individuals.
The grand prize for the one and only winner is a tea party held in honour of the victor (with the winner's choice of custom baked cake) to take place at a tuesday evening crit one fine summer evening.

Welcome!

Gather round one and all - welcome to the MA blog. The thinking behind it is that it can serve as a kind of notice board for course members and alumni to alert everyone to interesting opportunities and exciting things to look out for. The idea is that all students, past and present, will be able to make and read posts, wherever they may be.
In time, it will hopefully start to look cool and be full of things like up coming events, job opportunities, competitions and the like so keep your eyes peeled and your ears to the ground for stuff to contribute!
